HISTORY:
A small group of individuals began meeting and praying about beginning a new work in the downtown section of Proctorville. After surveying the possibilities a building was rented at 704 Trent Street. Faith Baptist Chapel began on July 15, 2012. Friendship Baptist Church, Coalton, Ohio accepted the sponsorship. Bro. Chuck McCormick was elected as mission pastor. Providing transportation to the community has been a priority to the mission. A church bus was purchased in 2013. A van was given to the mission in 2013 by Highlawn Baptist Church, Huntington, West Virginia in 2013.
In 2013, additional space was needed. An adjacent office building was rented. This doubled their space. The original facility was remodeled to increase for worship. Needing additional space, a facility located at 223 Elizabeth Street was rented. This is their present location.
In order to better reach the community, the congregation decided to hold services on Sunday morning and Sunday School on Sunday Evening. They have an ongoing Women's Bible Study. Faith Baptist Chapel are planning to constitute in the near future.
